Very funny, I had seen this sign somewhere before but makes me laugh again.
It’s quite funny how Japanese people are always finding “excuses” to make directions shorter. I remember people at temples or centers at Japan saying “15 minutes walking fast and you can reach our next temple!” Hell you had to JOG for 15 minutes…
I guess that’s because Japanese people are often rather lazy when it comes to walking, especially city people often seem to think that every distance that takes longer than 10-15 minutes to cover by foot is impossible to walk.
The German teacher of my girlfriend specifically warned her that Germans like to take long walks. ^^
