DVD is porn
Yesterday, talking with Ale, he said to me: “Have you realized that DVD is a synonym for porn in Japan?”. And yes, it is a synonym, at list in a “street” context. If you walking around in any Japan city streets and you see a sign that says only “DVD”, then it is for sure a porn movie store.
This is a “DVD” store.
Now you know, if you come to Japan beware of “DVD”
