Hipstamatic

Thanks to the readers comments and advice given in the iPhone 4 photos post I have started using some new photography applications in my iPhone. Until now the one that I like the most is Hipstamatic (it costs 1,99$), a very simple app that allows you to choose between several lenses and film rolls.

The cross processing effect is quite cool if you don’t use it in excess. At the moment I am hooked to the app, so I use it in excess :-D . One of the things that I still haven’t got the knack on is the framing, which is not accurately represented on the screen, although maybe that is part of the magic of simulating how old cameras worked. These are some of the pictures I’ve taken using Hipstamatic:

  5. I use it a lot as well!

    For the view finder, you can enable “precision viewfinder” in the settings page for Hipstamatic (under the main iPhone settings page).
