Miyoko Ihara (31 years old) has been taking photos of Misao (88 years old) and her cat Fukumaru for 8 years. She has taken so many photos of Misao and Fukumaru’s life that even they have published a photobook.

They don’t seem to grow old in the photos. Why the cat has 2 different colored eyes?

Lindas as imagens! Para os que convivem com gatos, não haverá companhia mais divertida e agradável.
Aqui, no Brasil, os que amam gatos são fiéis e super carinhsos com seus animais.
Beautiful pictures! For those who live with cats, there is no company more fun and enjoyable.
Here in Brazil, those who love cats are loyal and super carinhsos with their animals.

Kore wa aishimasu. Heart warming photos of a lovely senior citizen and her devoted senior cat. Many years ago, I was in Tokyo for one year and made some good friends, shared hospitality and enjoyed the scenery, especially when the cherry trees bloomed. Their ancient culture, the temples and shrines and their history were very interesting. I visited the shrines at Kamakura, the large bronze budda, the shrine at Nikko, Hakone and other historical and religious sites. Japan has made a remarkable recover from its devastation of World War 2,and I hope for its future. “Obie”.

I know that photos only show a small, carefully curated view of the world, but still, looking at these pictures, I can’t help but imagine that perhaps an idyllic fairy tale life can exist.

These seem so unforced. I like the funny, elaborated pictures and videos of cats, but this goes beyond by staying simple. I don’t have many words indeed for what is so beautiful and simple at once, because they are not needed.
