   Flan is better because of the special step you have to take to carmelize sugar. Its not easy to do without burning it, but it adds a sweet smoky flavor that is unique. This one looks like it just has carmel coloring.

   The consistency looks more like a milk gelatin dessert than it does flan. Also, flan is a custard so technically flan and pudding are related. But this doesn’t look like flan or pudding. I would try it though

    Dumbasses. Flan is called pudding in Japanese; there’s no other type of pudding in japan. I’m Japanese, in fact I’m in japan right now
