Better fried than alive and squirming, I had to go on a camping trip where we had to catch our own food. It felt more like survival training.

My Japanese wife of 45 years says she remembers just after WW-2 going out with her class-mates to catch grasshoppers. Considered a delicacy in many cultures they are loaded with protein.
